Veridt announces the MultiMode Reader, a state of the art muti-technology, muti-format reader designed for any physical access system and any credential operating in single or mult-factor authentication mode. Veridt’s Contactless Smart Card Reader is rugged, robust, adaptable, programmable, and upgradeable.

MultiMode Reader Features

Multifactor Authentification: Card-only, Card plus PIN, Card plus Biometric, Card plus PIN plus Biometric.

Multimode Operation: Dynamically recognize multiple card formats for legacy, local, and government requirements, such as TWIC plus locally-issued DESFire®.

Compatible Cards: PIV II, TWIC, CAC MIFARE®, DESFire, as well as open standards ISO ISO 1443A and 1443B.

Hardware Configurations: Card plus Keypad plus Biometrics plus Magnetic Stripe.

Meets or exceeds environmental standards for maritime operation (UL 294 indoor and outdoor requirements.)

Communication Interfaces: RS232/RS485, Digital I/O, Wiegand (programmable up to 256 bits), and Ethernet.

Wireless Communication: 900 MHz point-to-point wireless. Also available with Cypress Computer technology.
