Port of Houston Utilizing Veridt Biometric ID Card Readers

Houston, TX (May 7, 2007)

Veridt, a leading provider of Applied Biometric Technology, announced today that the Port of Houston has selected Veridt's ruggedized GuardDog™ integrated biometric reader in upgrading the Port's security infrastructure to include fingerprint ID for perimeter access.

Because Veridt core designs are small, compact and ruggedized, they are ideal for operation in adverse harsh environments. These designs have been proven in mission-critical field operations in the Gulf of Mexico and the Pacific.
