Veridt's Wireless GuardDog Now with Integrated Keypad

Veridt, a leading provider of applied biometric technology announced today that its Wireless GuardDog integrated biometric reader is now available with integrated Keypad. The integrated Keypad feature is essential for two factor ID authentication when the credential holder's fingerprints are not suitable for authentication.

The Wireless GuardDog unit is a portable handheld integrated biometric/contactless smart card reader with point-to-point Wiegand communication in a wireless configuration. Untethered, the reader is ideal for heavy traffic or traffic overflow gate access applications as well as random challenge inside perimeters and other mission critical situations.

Veridt designs, develops and markets integrated reader products and software combining fingerprint biometrics and applied technologies for enterprise applications, and physical/logical access security requirements. Applied technologies combined with fingerprint biometrics include smart card technologies, other data storage forms, specialized software and applications specific communication protocols to create fixed based as well as mobile, wireless and portable biometric based solutions.
