The CoreStreet FIPS 201 F5 module introduces a revolutionary new approach to upgrade physical access control systems (PACS) to full HSPD-12 compliance. Contained within the F5 module is all the functionality required by FiPS 201, Special Publication (SP) 800-116, and the TWIC Reader Specification. F5 modules are installed between any existing PACS panel and Veridt Credential Reader. Readers are selected based on assurance level requirements – contactless or contact readers for low and medium assurance level areas and full biometric readers for high assurance areas. Veridt Multimode Readers provide a comprehensive set of choices, all supported by the F5 module.

MultiMode Readers

Validate PIV, TWIC, FRAC, and CAC (legacy, NG, EP) cards without requiring replacement or modification of the PACS.
Validates cards at controlled, limited, or exclusion assurance levels as defined in SP 800-116—supports all authentication mechanisms (CHUID, CAK, BIO, PKI).
Validates TWIC cards at the 4 authentication modes defined in the TWIC reader specification.
Communications interface to F5: RS485 (full duplex).
