Multitechnology & Multiformat for Multifactor AuthenticationVeridt's MultiMode product family is comprised of multitechnology and multiformat readers for multifactor authentication. Multitechnology combines the appropriate smart card or token readers, biometrics, and additional data input devices for single or multiple factors authentication. Examples include interfaces between keypads, magnetic stripe readers, and communication protocols. Multiformat provides true interoperability. MultiMode readers are compatible with most formats: PIV II, TWIC, CAC, MIFARE®, DESFire®, as well as open standards ISO 14443 A & B. All Veridt readers can be configured to operate with any PAC system and panel. MultiMode readers can be programmed for a variety of multifactor authentication scenarios. A single reader can be programmed for a magnetic stripe and a smart card credential. The same reader can process a previously issued port card and a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC). This reader is a cost-effective solution for phasing in new credentials and capability because it allows you to maintain the legacy functionality during the change over. Plus, any ongoing requirements to maintain multiple credentials are easily met with MultiMode readers.
